JUMPING
Bungee jumping is the ultimate adrenaline
rush and South Africa has earned a global reputation for having
the highest commercial bungee jump in the world. Located on
the Garden Route, the Bloukrans Bridge is 216 metres high.
Because of the extreme height of this bungee jump, a full
body harness is used, instead of the traditional ankle harness.
Outside of Mossel Bay along the N2 highway,
is the old Gouritz bridge, the first commercial bungee jump
in South Africa. At 65m this is an ideal jump for beginners.
One of the most spectacular jumps in the
world is off the Victoria Falls bridge that links Zambia to
Zimbabwe.
