in the Sabi Sands, a private reserve in Kruger, and one of
the best places in South Africa to observe wildlife. The advantage
of the private reserves are many: the vehicles can go offroad
to follow animals or tracks, thus allowing a longer and closer
viewing, the number of guests and vehicles is limited, thus
allowing more exclusive viewing of wildlife.

the famous Kruger National Park, which protects the widest
variety of fauna in Africa, including the “Big Five”.
Afternoon safari through the park in to one of the parks rest
camps.
Accommodation: Skukuza on the banks of the Sabie River or
similar. The camps offer cafeteria, restaurant, shop, swimming
pool. Accommodation in a bungalow.

Day : The Spectacular South Guided Tour - Oudtshoorn / Mountain
Zebra NP / Tsitsikamma NP / Garden Route
This itinerary combines South Africa’s well known attractions
with some of the national parks that lie off the beaten track.
The tour focuses on nature, introducing wildlife, scenery
and flora different to that found in the Kruger National Park.
The nature lover will explore mountains, coastline, indigenous
forest and semi-desert whilst also discovering some of the
country’s history and architecture. It is possible to
do this as a self drive itinerary and in combination with
one of our Cape Town and Kruger tours.
Day 1: Cape Town - Oudtshoorn (D)
Depart Cape Town and head to Oudtshoorn, located in the semi-desert
of the Little Karoo and known for the ostrich breeding industry.
The town boasts some unique sandstone architecture, notably
the decorative Ostrich Feather Palaces, built during the Ostrich
Feather boom of the early 20th century. Visit the spectacular
Cango Caves

Visit an ostrich farm, an educational and amusing experience
Accommodation: Thabile Lodge 4* on an ostrich farm with
stunning views of the Swartberg Mountains
Day 2: Graaf Reinet and Mountain
Zebra National Park (B)
Depart
to the little known, but spectacular Mountain Zebra National
Park, visiting en route in the historical gem of Graaf Reinet
with its many national monuments. The
Mountain Zebra National park protects a variety of animals
not found or difficult to find in the Kruger. These include
antelope such as springbok, hartebeest, gemsbok, eland, Mountain
Zebra, Suricates (meerkats), aardwolf, black rhino and cheetah
all set in the stunning Karoo landscapes. Safari through the
park to the rest camp.
Accommodation: Mountain Zebra NP in chalet. Includes entrance
fees, excludes meals. The camp offers a restaurant and swimming
pool.
Day 3: Mountain Zebra National Park

Day 4 : Tsitisikamma National Park
Depart to Addo Elephant National Park where we do a safari
drive in the park. Continue to Tsitsikamma National Park South
Africa’s first Marine reserve which also includes 80
kilometres of indigenous forest home to monkeys, antelope
and birds. The waters protect seals, otters, dolphins and
whales. A variety of walks are possible leading along the
coast and through the lush vegetation. An easy hour long walk
leads to a suspension bridge over the Storms River Mouth whilst
a longer walk, the first section of the famous Otter Trail,
leads to a waterfall and natural pool on the edge of the ocean.

Day 5 : Garden Route
Take a morning walk or relax on the beach.

Here one has the opportunity to interact with African Elephants

A refuge and rehabilitation centre for some of Africa’s
felines. It is possible to view some of the rarer and lesser
scene species as well as interact with cheetahs.
Continue to Knysna, situated on a lagoon
connected to the sea by a narrow opening dominated by “The
Heads”. Knysna is known for its Oyster industry.
Accommodation: The Knysna Log Inn 4*, located within walking
distance to the Waterfront and a variety of restaurants
Day 6: Hermanus –Cape Town(D)
Depart to Cape Town. Between June and November, stop at Hermanus,
one of the best places in the world for land based whale watching.

6 day : The Rhythm
of the North Guided Tour - Drakensberg / Wild Coast
This itinerary offers a more active option to the “classic”
tours. The walks are all optional and can be adapted to suit
the client’s level of fitness. They have been carefully
selected so as to offer contrast. The tour includes some of
South Africa’s most magnificent regions, lesser known
and visited due to their remote location.
Please note we will be happy to tailor make an itinerary to
suit the expectations, interests and budget of your clientele.
It is possible to combine this itinerary with Kruger and/or
Cape Town.
Day 1 : Golden Gate Highland National
Park
Depart from Johannesburg to the Golden Gate Highlands National
Park, which takes its name from the colours of the surrounding
rock cliffs. Here one finds a variety of fauna that one would
not find in the Kruger region such as black wildebeest, springbok,
blesbok and eland.
Accommodation : Golden Gate Highlands National Park in
Chalets
Day 2 : Ukhlamba Drakensberg/ Barrier
of Spears (D)
We
will do a short drive and walk to see some of the local fauna
and birdlife. We also visit a Basotho Cultural Village for
an introduction to the traditions and history of the Sotho
people.
Or (an extra day can also be added to this)
We hike the famous “Chain Ladder Route” to the
summit of the Amphitheatre, a geological marvel offering magnificent
views. (6 hour hike for the moderately fit.)
We continue to the Ukahlamba Drakensberg
Park, a UNESCO world heritage site for culture and nature.e.
Here one finds ancient rock art from the San people, the awe-inspiring
Amphitheatre formation, tumbling waterfalls and indigenous
forests.

Day 3 : Royal National National Park
(B,L,D)
A hike in the Royal Natal National Park takes us to the Tugela
gorge and base of the Amphitheatre. The hike offers breathtaking
views of the Amphitheatre and the 1000 metre Tugela Falls,
clear natural pools for swimming and indigenous forests. Some
of the birdlife we may be fortunate enough to see include
he magnificent Lammergeyer or Bearded Vulture At certain times
of the year, flora, the beautiful proteas are in bloom.
We can also take a walk to some San rock paintings

Day 4: Wild Coast
(B,D)
Depart to the Wild Coast. Due to its remoteness, this is one
of the least visited but most beautiful areas of the country,
birthplace to Nelson Mandela and many other well known figures
in South African history. The area offers not only the beach
but also many spectacular walks and hikes and authentic Xhosa
Villages.

Day 5 : Wild Coast (B,D)
Relax
or enjoy one of the many hikes on offer :
Walk along the edge of a cliff affording magnificent views
of the Indian Ocean, to a waterfall tumbling directly into
