Day 1: Johannesburg (D)
Arrive in Johannesburg and depart to Mpumalanga( 4 hours by
road or 1 hour flight depending on your arrival time and availability
of flights).

guest house in the countryside, ½ hour from the entrance
to Kruger
Day 2: Kruger National Park (B)
Continue on to the famous Kruger National Park, which protects
the widest variety of fauna in Africa, including the “Big
Five”.

Accommodation: Skukuza on the banks of the Sabie River

Day 3: Kruger National Park-Drakensberg
Morning

Day 4: Blyde Canyon/Cape Town(B)
Today, visit the Blyde River Canyon, the world’s third
largest and only “green” or vegetated canyon.
Enjoy magnificent views of the 3 Rondawels, the canyon and
the Swadini Dam, followed by Bourkes Luck Potholes, a geological
marvel. Continue to Johannesburg for a flight( excluded) to
Cape Town. Transfer to your hotel

Day 5: Cape Town -Knysna (B)
Tour the city, visiting the picturesque Bokaap, with its brightly
coloured houses and cobbled streets, the historic sights and
the craft market in Greenmarket square. Optionally, and if
the weather permits, take the cable car up Table Mountain
(ZAR 180) From here, you will enjoy magnificent views of Cape
Town and the peninsula.
Depart to Knysna (5 hours), passing through
the historic town of Swellendam and the stunning beach of
Wilderness. Knysna is situated on a lagoon connected to the
sea by a narrow opening dominated by “The Heads”.
Knysna is known for its Oyster industry.
Accommodation: The Knysna Log Inn 4*, located within walking
distance to the Waterfront and a variety of restaurants
Day 6: The Garden Route-Tsitisikamma
National Park (B)
Depart
to Tsitsikamma National Park, South Africa’s first Marine
reserve which also includes 80 kilometres of indigenous forest
home to monkeys, antelope and birds. The waters protect seals,
otters, dolphins and whales.
A variety of walks are possible leading along the coast and
through the lush vegetation. An easy hour long walk leads
to a suspension bridge over the Storms River Mouth whilst
a longer walk, the first section of the famous Otter Trail,
leads to a waterfall and natural pool on the edge of the ocean.
Optional Activities:
Elephant Sanctuary
Here one has the opportunity to interact with African Elephants
and take an Elephant back ride.
Or
Tenikwa
A refuge and rehabilitation centre for some of Africa’s
felines. It is possible to view some of the rarer and lesser
scene species as well as interact with cheetahs.
Continue to Oudtshoorn, located in the semi-desert
of the Little Karoo and known for the ostrich breeding industry.
The town boasts some unique sandstone architecture, notably
the decorative Ostrich Feather Palaces, built during the Ostrich
Feather boom of the early 20th century.
Accommodation: Thabile Lodge 4* on an ostrich farm with
stunning views of the Swartberg Mountains or Hlangana Lodge
4* in the outskirts of the town.
Day 7: Ostriches/Cango Caves/ Karoo
desert(B)
Today includes an interesting and amusing visit to an ostrich
farm.as well as the spectacular Cango Caves. After this, continue
over the impressive Swartberg Pass to the Great Karoo desert
with a stop at the historic little town of Prince Albert with
its many national monuments. The town offers a variety of
architectural styles such as Cape Dutch, Victorian and Karoo.
Return via the equally stunning Meiringspoort Gorge with a
stop at a mysterious waterfall.

Day 8: Oudtshoorn-Hermanus –Cape
Town(B)
Depart to Cape Town. Between June and November, stop at Hermanus,
one of the best places in the world for land based whale watching.
The rest of the year, we will visit the historic town of Stellenbosch
and stop at a wine estate with a gracious Cape Dutch Manor
House for some wine tasting.

Day 9: Cape Peninsula (B)
A tour of the Cape of Good Hope starts with the picturesque

minute boat road to view a colony of Cape Fur Seals. (ZAR
60).Continue along the breath-taking cliff road towering above
the ocean below to enjoy the dramatic vistas of the Cape of
Good Hope and Cape Point, situated in a national park with
indigenous fauna and flora. Afterwards, stop at the Boulders
Beach Penguin colony. The day ends with a walk through the
tranquil Kirstenbosch botanical gardens, a magnificent tribute
to the indigenous flora of South Africa and the Cape.
