| Day 1: Pick up your vehicle from Cape Town International Airport and drive to your hotel or luxury guest house. Take a drive around the City in the afternoon visiting the historical colonial buildings of Cape Town and the picturesque Cape Malay Quarter or Bokaap. |
| Day 2: The day starts with an ascent up Table Mountain in the Cableway (weather permitting) for a breathtaking panorama. Continue on your tour around the Cape Peninsula. Chapman’s Peak Drive is a spectacular coastal road, hugging the cliff edges and affording breathtaking views of the ocean below. Stop at the quaint fishing harbour of Hout Bay for a boat ride to Seal Island. (weather permitting). The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve covers an area of 7700 hectares and harbours 1036 floral species. Whilst the primary attraction of the Reserve is not its fauna, it protects numerous species including the rare Bontebok antelope. But perhaps the principal attraction of the park is the dramatic view from Cape Point, steep cliffs plunging into the sometimes calm, sometimes stormy ocean below. Continue on to Boulders Beach which shelters a colony of African Jackass penguins. (B) |
Day 3: Spend the morning at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, the old port of the city has been renovated and converted into an entertainment centre, with markets, a shopping mall, restaurants, shows and an excellent aquarium. Take a boat trip to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was held prisoner for nearly two decades. A tour of the prison is a moving experience and highly recommended.
In the afternoon, visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, ranked amongst the top eight in the world for variety, beauty of specimens and its magnificent setting. The Gardens only exhibit indigenous South African plants. (B) |
| Day 4: Today head out to the Cape Wine Route to taste fine wines and explore gracious Cape Dutch homesteads. The vineyards and historic towns are surrounded by spectacular mountains, unique in the world. Night at a Guest house in the Winelands(B) |

Day 1: 8.30 am Collect vehicle and depart from Cape Town heading to Hermanus on the coast, one of the best place in the world for land based whale watching. Between July and December every year, one can frequently observe the courting, mating and birth of whales. Follow the spectacular coastal road then cut across to Cape Aghulhas, the Southern most tip of Africa, where the warm Indian and cold Atlantic Oceans meet. Head to Arniston to see the historical and picturesque fishermen’s cottages and for a delicious fresh seafood lunch. Continue inland to the beautiful town of Montagu with its colonial houses and spectacular mountain setting. Overnight at Montagu Vines Guest House in Montagu. |
Day 2: Take a moment to drive around the town then travel along the scenic Route 62 to the Karoo town of Oudtshoorn where you can visit an ostrich farm and learn about the breeding and raising of the largest bird in the world. Also visit the Cango Caves which offer an unforgettable sight of glittering stalactites and stalagmites in unusual formation.

| Day 3: This morning, hike or bike around the reserve or take a tour of the Meerkat Magic Project with the resident research biologist. These charming little creatures captured the world’s heart on the National Geographic and Discovery Channels “Meerkat Manor”. Leave at about 10.00am, via George to Knysna, known for its two famous heads at the mouth of the lagoon as well as the creative sculptures made from indigenous wood. Continue to the Tsitsikamma National Park for our overnight. This is the premier marine reserve of the country also including indigenous forests. It is home to monkeys, antelope and birds whilst its waters shelter otters, whales, seals and dolphins. (B) |
| Day 4: This morning, take a short hike to the suspension bridge crossing the spectacular Storms River mouth. Then pack up and head back to Cape Town to return your vehicle. Alternatively, for an additional cost, drop the vehicle at Port Elizabeth airport and take an onward flight. |
4 Day/3 night West Coast Wild Flowers

As this phenomenon is dependant on the first rains, this tour
only runs in August/September and overnight stops may vary
according to optimum flower viewing sites. The arid plains
are magically transformed into multicoloured carpets of wild
flowers, a truly unique sight.

| Day 1: This morning travel from Cape Town to Nieuvoudtville one of the best places to see the spring flower displays. In the afternoon, visit interesting sites such as the 100m waterfall and a preserved glacier site. Owing to clear skies, minimal pollution and the darkest nights, the area is a prime spot for stargazing. |
| Day 2: Today, visit the 115 ha Wild Flower Reserve, home to more than 300 species and don’t miss some of the historical buildings and ruins of the area. (B) |
| Day 3: Head south to Clanwilliam, one of the oldest towns of South Africa, visit the wild flower reserve and take an historical walkabout around the town. Clanwilliam is also the home of Rooibos tea, increasingly famous for its many beneficial attributes. This evening go to Lamberts Bay to a beach restaurant famous for its deliciously fresh West Coast seafood. (B) |
